I hate when this happens. Sometimes it isn't even at a restaurant; it's at a store.

some of you have obviously never had babies poop coming out everywhere and had to improvise. The last thing i want to do is put my child on a floor. And usually if there isn't a changing table i go to the car, but there have been situations where my son would poop and instantly it would spill out of his diaper. Those times if there wasn't a large enough counter i would put a blanket down and then his changing pad. Of course i wouldn't use the blanket on him afterwards. Seriously all restaurants should have changing tables.

I take my baby out to my car to change him. There is NO WAY I'd change him on the floor, YUCK.

Do you have a stroller? You can lay the seat flat, put a changing pad down and do it on there. Just make sure you clean it up real good after so your baby is not sitting in a sea of diaper germs.What do you do when u have 2 change ur baby at a restaurant %26amp; there is no changing table?

I have had to this in gas stations, airplanes, stores... it sucks, but works.

Ask someone for the nearest bathroom. Take off any sweater or coat you're wearing, and lay it on the floor. If you need to, use a bunch of paper towels to put under the baby's head. It's really inconvenient, but it works. The baby doesn't seem to mind being on the floor, but you need to put something under it's head.

if your in a restaruant and they dont have one ask for somewhere to change the baby like a office if they refuse take a blanket and change it in your lap or on the chair i always lay mine on my lap when im in a situation like that now if your in a store wait till you get out to the car and use the back seat or take a thick blanket or changing pad and change it on the floor make sure the baby doesnt touch the floor wal-mart makes these portable changing beds you carry with you there neat just havent got to buying one yet good luckWhat do you do when u have 2 change ur baby at a restaurant %26amp; there is no changing table?
I can't think of a time that I wouldn't be able to go to my car. My trips are usually short and I never stray far from my car. I often don't even bring my diaper bag into stores/resturants with me, because I know that if something happens, I'll go back to my car to fix the situation. In the colder months, I might have to change this plan!



There are a lot of things that I think that people with kids shouldn't do and changing a baby infront of people who are eating is number one.



People go to a resturant to enjoy a meal and watching a baby change for many is unpleseant (even though it is necessary) and unsanitary.



If this is a resturant that you often go to and there is no changing table in the restroom, ask the manager to suggest a private place for you to change your baby. If they say that none is available, ask to use the owner/manager's office desk. I keep a beach towel in the diaper bag JUST IN CASE so if I have to use a floor or something its not so gross.

This happened to me last week - the store I stopped at didn't have a changing center in the restroom. I was so mad! I think it should be a law to have one in every public restroom. Last week, I needed to change her and I stopped at the gas station I usually get my coffee at and they didn't have one either! At a gas station - I was really surprised.



Anyway, both times I ended up changing her in the front seat of my car. There is no way in Hades I am going to put her on the bathroom floor to change her. I also will not change her on the table in the restaurant - that's disgusting. I'd put my kid's on the counter ( if it was big enough) or on the floor, both with lots and lots of paper towels.
