Changing baby's diaper?

my son is 9 months old weighing in at 16.13lbs he wears size 3 diapers. i have to change him constantly, like if he is in his diaper more than 2 hours he is leaking through, not just a little bit, but a ton through his onsie and his pants up his tummy everywhere. i put him in size 3's (that go form 16-28lbs) thinking his size 2'2 were to small and that was the cause of his leaking. i am wondering if this is normal, and how often do you have to, not just change him becuase the baby needs it, but often you actually have to before your baby leaks through. oh yea i also have to change him 2-3 during the night to aviod leaks.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
Make sure his penis is pointing down when you put on the diaper. Is the diaper completely soaked already and it won't hold anymore pee(there is nothing you can do about that)or is it just leaking(try a different brand)Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
Just change him more often, and if he still leaks, try a differnt brank of diapers. I use the wal mart kind called parents choice, and i have never have any problems from them, and others that i have used have leaked.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
Hmm... well I'm not going to say I never get a leaking diaper but it isn't a big problem. Although I have gone through months where he couldn't go through the night without leaking.

Have you tried a different brand?Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
my son use to always pee through his diapers. I thought there was something wrong with him. come to find out, i just needed to change diapers. and it was the cheap wal-mart brands that did the best for him. As crazy as it sounds try that.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
It really depends on the brand of pampers that you are using that could be the cause. I prefer Luvs they are great.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
Sounds like he's holding his urine until he can't help but release it, which would be why he's soaking through when he goes. A good fitting diaper is one that covers his front and back snugly, but not tightly. You should be able to fit your finger in around the legholes and be able to peek in the back (like when you check to see if he's messy). If the diaper fits correctly, and he's still leaking through it, put a maxi pad in the bottom of the diaper. We did this for my stepdaughter and it worked really well.

Good luck!Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
you should try a different diaper. pampers were the most leak-proof for us. i have also heard that the white cloud brand from walmart works really well. also, try not to give your baby so much to drink before he goes to bed. then he will not have to pee so much. i always changed my daughter as soon as her diaper was wet to avoid rashes. even when it was the tiniest bit wet. it's better to spend a little more money on diapers than have rashes or have to do all that cleaning with the leaks. check him constantly for wetness. don't give him so much to drink at one time and that should help.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
My mother told me to make sure my daughter's diaper was on correctly. Both of the little velcro pieces should match up in the front and barely touch eachother. My little girl hasn't leaked very much since. You might actually be putting him in too big of a diaper. It feels like it's tight on her but not too tight. There aren't many gaps. Also make sure that the little flaps in the front are pulled all the way out. Anybody elses oppion on this problem I would love to hear. We use the parent's choice diapers that are cheaper and don't smell like anything. The smell of pampers really made me sick.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
i learned that if u leave extra diaper like putting the diaper as low as you can below the belly and leave extra diaper so it can handle more pee works.instead of putting the diaper so tight and above the belly.u have to leve it like a catipillar on his bottom that seeems like he gots a big diaper u know what i mean. dont put it to tight and above the bellyChanging baby%26039;s diaper?
what brand dippers are you using because it that might be the cause of it. I had some dippers that worked for my daughter like pampers but I once had to get the store brand while we where on a road trip and that was the biggest mistake I ever made.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
i change my daughters diaper every 3 hours. never had any problems with leaking. except when i tried different diapers. so maybe try some different ones. a different brand might work better for him. hope this helpedChanging baby%26039;s diaper?
have you tried pionting his dingy the other way? that was the problem for my friend's little boy. i suggested that to her and he didnt leak as much any more. make sure its pointing down. and if its usually down, try pointing it up (just to see if it will help)Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
You should be changing him every time he pees or messes his diaper, not leaving it on until it's that saturated.
