How often do you change your baby?

I'm babysitting for a 6 month old, and I change him as soon as he feels wet to me. Sometimes his diapers aren't %26quot;full%26quot; but he has peed. His mom told me that she usually will leave him in a wet diaper for about 2 hours. Is that right? He has a bad diaper rash, and I thought that that could cause infections? I know mommy is always right concerning the care of her baby, but I was curious as to what you mommies do? Change wet diapers right away, or wait a while for it to be full? How often do you change your baby?
If the baby has any rash, I would change it right away. If not, I don't understand why moms on here are getting so worked up about changing as soon as the diaper is wet. Unless you're using cloth diapers, you do not have to change disposables right away. They are made to keep moisture away from the skin, and if you add diaper cream, you have pretty good protection.

For the first few months of my daughter's life I was changing her before every feeding, which was about every 3 hours. However, as a breastfed baby she did poop few times a day, so obviously she was changed more. Right now, at almost 9 months, I change her after she wakes up, before her nap, after if necessary, before her second nap, after if necessary, around dinner time, if she's wet, and overnight diaper for the night. That makes around 5 wet diaper changes, not including night time. She has never had diaper rash. How often do you change your baby?
you change them right away!! you want that baby running around with his anything in his diaper so hes uncomfortable? thats terrible this should not even be a question. How often do you change your baby?
as a father of 2 .i'd have to say dont wait to change the diaper, as a wet or poopy diaper will cause a rash...How often do you change your baby?
If they have a diaper rash you need to change them more often than you normally would so that it can heal. Moisture makes diaper rash worse. If the baby didn't have a diaper rash then I'd say just change them whenever it is time to feed them and when ever they have had a bowel movement. You don't have to change them EVERY time they urinate if they don't have a rash, but you shouldn't let the diaper get so full that it looks like it is going to pop either. How often do you change your baby?
It is not right to leave a baby in a wet diaper for 2 hours.

I check often and the first sign of wetness (you can tell because the diaper bunches) I change the diaper. The baby should always be dry. Dry off the baby completely and then apply A + D ointment for protection.

I change my baby whenever she feels wet.

Letting him sit in a wet diaper is probably what caused the diaper rash in the 1st place. How often do you change your baby?
Change the diaper right away. So women don't like to change their babies often so as to save money on diapers. That is not fair on the baby. How often do you change your baby?
i am a first time mother of a son who is going to turn two next month and i work in a daycare with two year old's in the daycare we change every two hours or whennecessaryy. My son gets diaper rashes very easy the doctors told me its due to to much yeast his body has so i change him as often as it takes if its wet it comes off, yeah i know diapers is expensive but mychild'ss health is more important to me. Think about it it must hurt them then you have on a snug fitting diaper over a sensitive area I say when you babysit the child change them when you fell they should be change your not harming the child your caring and preventing a rash. How often do you change your baby?
