Just switch over completely. When my baby was 6 weeks old, I switched over to Good Start. She did just fine. In fact, she did better than fine, seeing how she was able to digest it better than the Enfamil I was giving her. you could try mixing the formulas and taper down on the similac until he can use full strength goodstart.
i know this sounds weird, but you do the same thing with dogs. you mix the food and taper off. dogs have the same thing with odd coloured stool and it normalizes once they are on a steady regimine of food.
you may want to ask the pediatrician first to see if the formulas can be mixed.

as long as he is keeping it down it should be fine. my youngest good start was all that she could drink ..it is a really great product.. if you are feeling uneasy about it ask your pediatrician. or call your hospital and see if they have ask a nurse and ask her.

You should not be switching back and forth. If you want to change formulas just do it. If you keep changing it the baby may become colic, and you can cause it to have an easily irritated tummy.I change baby formula like this is it ok ??

You should not be changing the baby's formula back and forth like this- it isn't good for his stomach. If you are switching formula, you should add a little of the new formula with the old. So if he takes 4 ozs of formula- use 3 ozs of Similac and 1 oz of good start, do that for a a day, then the next day add another oz continue until the bottle is all good start. The stick with one formula so the baby can get used to it. (and just as a not good start does have a tendency to make babies throw up a have green stool, but once he is used to it, he'll be fine.) your best bet would be to talk to your babys dr. i find it weird wic does not give you simlac i had wic and we had simlac. you need to also compare the vitamins and iron in the formuals too. go to simlacs web site and sign up for the welcome addition club. they send free samples and coupons each month.I change baby formula like this is it ok ??

just do it all at once.. you dont' have to slowly switch your baby.. Giving 2 different formulas is really not suggested.. They have different consistencies and amount of nutrients , and may cause light tummy trouble.. But it is okay to switch formulas for babies.. just don't combine or go back and forth..
and yes green poop is normal.. You may have seen yellow seedy looking stuff with GoodStart, b/c the process of proteins resembles breastmilk and thats what a breastfed's baby's poop looks like.. so he's okay.
