What do you do for diaper changes?

What is your routine-do you use powder, etc?

Also, I don't think I'm going to get a changing table. Instead I think I will have a kit to move around the house- do you use alternatives to changing tables? Do you just dig in the diaper bag when you need to change baby's diaper? Or if you have a kit in a basket or something, how many do you have around the house? What do you do for diaper changes?
I don't use powder and cream every change. Just take off the nappy, wipe with a wet wipe, apply bum cream if a rash is coming on or something and back on with a clean nappy.

I had a change table with all my kids. I loved it!

It had a shelf underneath, a lot come with two shelves so its incredibly handy for storage.

You can keep his diapers, spare wipes and all the other paraphenalia there at arms reach. Plus I had his burb cloths and wraps, toys...all sorts of things.

I had a diaper depot to hang off the side of mine, I loved it! babies r us stocked it.

I prefer a proper changing area as lets face it, poo and wee isn't exactly sanitary so I prefer it be done in one spot and not spread over the house. I've seen people changing their baby or kitchen tables and kitchen benches and to me that is just disgusting!! Never mind spreading the smell over the house lol

It was a good height for me to stand too and not be straining my back leaning over or anything.

Its much easier to control them on there. When they start to roll over and get a lot stronger mine would try and flip over and crawl or run away with poop hanging off their bum. Its much easier on a change table as they can't do that as you have better control when you're standing up over them rather than sitting on the floor or even leaning on the bed. (and who wants to risk getting poop on the carpet or sheets!) You have no idea how strong or fast they can be lol!

So anyway lol, I recommend getting one. Its one of my must havesWhat do you do for diaper changes?
You don't need baby powder if you're using disposable diapers. You do need a changing table, or you will have a very sore back from bending over to change the baby on the bed or the couch or whatever. And if you have a little boy, you definitely want a changing table rather than using the bed, the couch, or the carpet, because they squirt! What do you do for diaper changes?
Changing tables aren't strictly necessary...in the end you get used to changing the baby on your lap, on a towel on the floor, whatever...you can't hoick a changing table around with you! A changing bag is fine - just make sure to keep it somewhere you can grab it quickly when you need it. A little talcum powder is no bad thing, it protects against chafing from the diaper - also some cream to help with rash if baby gets itWhat do you do for diaper changes?
We had a changing table. Everything in one spot. It was a GREAT idea, however - I did not find it very functional for me. Instead, I had little baskets stashed with the necessities in various parts of the house. Inside of a close-able end table, and in nightstand drawers as well. That way, every poo or pee didn't have to mean I had to trek to the bedroom. Diaperchecks could simply be checks changes and resume the activity. I suppose there were three 'stations'. The Changing Table, my bed and the floor in the living room. Each kit had some burp rags (for laying baby on to protect surface) diapers, rash cream, and wipes. What do you do for diaper changes?
i had a change table, and did have until last week, and my son is 20 months old. I think they're worth it, it keeps everything in the one spot. I never used any powder or anything, i'd use nappy rash cream at the first sign of redness, otherwise it was pull it off, wipe off excess poo with the nappy, wipe with wet wipes and put a new one on.

  • What are the procedures in the state of Arizona to add father's name to the Birth Certificate ?

I want to know the procedures in the state of AZ to add father's name and change baby's last name to father's last name. If possible I need to know if it cost and how much. I think I remember them saying if it is before he turns one then it shouldn't be a whole big ordeal. Please any information and helpful links would greatly be appreciated. What are the procedures in the state of Arizona to add father%26039;s name to the Birth Certificate ?
Contact the bureau of vital statistics. It does not require much to get the birth certificate amended. I do not recall the whole process but the father can contact a person at the BVS who can assist him with the necessary procedures.

It's a rather simple process -- it does take time however to receive the newly issued birth certificate.

Changing baby's last name (las vegas)?

first of all we live in LAS VEGAS and my baby girl was born here she is 2 years old im her dad she has my last name and her moms together with a dash in the middle we wanna change it to just my last name i wanna know what i need to do and where i need to go to get her last name change and how much it would cost and what i would need (enybody in las vegas gone through this before????)Changing baby%26039;s last name (las vegas)?
you would need to go about that just like changing a last name after being married.

Start with the social security office. They can tell you what you need to do. I would probably give them a call first so you can get any documents you'll need in order first.

Since she's only two it shouldn't be too hard- she won't have credit cards and a drivers license an more yet:)Changing baby%26039;s last name (las vegas)?
no please dont do that to your child

Does having a baby change how women feel about different things when it comes to sex?

since our son was born my wife has tried to go down on me and can never finish because she sqays it makes her sick. i ask her if she is only doing it for me or if she really wants to do it and she says she used to love it and cant understand it and wants to please me the same way i do her. please help us with this dalema.we both miss it.Does having a baby change how women feel about different things when it comes to sex?
It could be a case of %26quot;Mommies aren't supposed to...%26quot; She may have the repressed thought that because she's a mommy now, that she's not supposed to do things like that.

Parenthood doesn't mean that sex life should go to 0. It could be several different things. Best to sit down with her and have a good chat about what it is that makes her sick. Is she having any particular thought while she's doing it? etc...

That's where I'd start.Does having a baby change how women feel about different things when it comes to sex?
i can totally relate.. i lost my drive 6 yrs ago.. then i just recently wanted to do the things now that i did back then... it could come back.. then there's others that never come back... good luck!Does having a baby change how women feel about different things when it comes to sex?
I don't know about anyone else, but after I had a baby, my interest in sex went to 0. That was almost 10 years ago and it hasn't come back!Does having a baby change how women feel about different things when it comes to sex?
One thing to remember about being a new mom is that a woman can totally get burned out and not realize it. When I had my children there came a point when they were very young where I just couldn't handle %26quot;taking care%26quot; of one more person or one more thing. The result was I was never in the mood. I realized it was because I was seeing it %26quot;taking care%26quot; of my husband. It was just one more chore I had to do in the day to be a good mom and wife. Since, she says she doesn't understand what's up herself, perhaps you too should talk about what is going on outside the bedroom to see if it is effecting how she is feeling.Does having a baby change how women feel about different things when it comes to sex?
ummm well i hate going down on my husband. but at times i do it get in the mood and do it for him.. I dont gag haha.. sometimes i did but now i know how to with out gaging.. secondly we have 2 kids. my sex drive was wayyyyy up there before we had our first daughter in 2004..

You just need the right setting and be in the mood. i know im not in the mood 24-7.. But im only 23...

Just talk to eachother and find out what she likes and please her.. tell her to take her time when she goes down on you. go to your book store and buy some books about sexual massages, diff sex positions... hey it could work.

i never finish either! hahaha.. my husband Jacks off to make him self ***.. haha.. (LOL) hes used to his hand.. im only his second person he ever had sex with. baaawahahah

Good Luck dude!Does having a baby change how women feel about different things when it comes to sex?
of course.. 1st of all she's sucking u off then kissing her baby.. that's gross enough right there...

    Changing baby's diaper?

my son is 9 months old weighing in at 16.13lbs he wears size 3 diapers. i have to change him constantly, like if he is in his diaper more than 2 hours he is leaking through, not just a little bit, but a ton through his onsie and his pants up his tummy everywhere. i put him in size 3's (that go form 16-28lbs) thinking his size 2'2 were to small and that was the cause of his leaking. i am wondering if this is normal, and how often do you have to, not just change him becuase the baby needs it, but often you actually have to before your baby leaks through. oh yea i also have to change him 2-3 during the night to aviod leaks.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
Make sure his penis is pointing down when you put on the diaper. Is the diaper completely soaked already and it won't hold anymore pee(there is nothing you can do about that)or is it just leaking(try a different brand)Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
Just change him more often, and if he still leaks, try a differnt brank of diapers. I use the wal mart kind called parents choice, and i have never have any problems from them, and others that i have used have leaked.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
Hmm... well I'm not going to say I never get a leaking diaper but it isn't a big problem. Although I have gone through months where he couldn't go through the night without leaking.

Have you tried a different brand?Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
my son use to always pee through his diapers. I thought there was something wrong with him. come to find out, i just needed to change diapers. and it was the cheap wal-mart brands that did the best for him. As crazy as it sounds try that.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
It really depends on the brand of pampers that you are using that could be the cause. I prefer Luvs they are great.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
Sounds like he's holding his urine until he can't help but release it, which would be why he's soaking through when he goes. A good fitting diaper is one that covers his front and back snugly, but not tightly. You should be able to fit your finger in around the legholes and be able to peek in the back (like when you check to see if he's messy). If the diaper fits correctly, and he's still leaking through it, put a maxi pad in the bottom of the diaper. We did this for my stepdaughter and it worked really well.

    Good luck!Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
you should try a different diaper. pampers were the most leak-proof for us. i have also heard that the white cloud brand from walmart works really well. also, try not to give your baby so much to drink before he goes to bed. then he will not have to pee so much. i always changed my daughter as soon as her diaper was wet to avoid rashes. even when it was the tiniest bit wet. it's better to spend a little more money on diapers than have rashes or have to do all that cleaning with the leaks. check him constantly for wetness. don't give him so much to drink at one time and that should help.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
My mother told me to make sure my daughter's diaper was on correctly. Both of the little velcro pieces should match up in the front and barely touch eachother. My little girl hasn't leaked very much since. You might actually be putting him in too big of a diaper. It feels like it's tight on her but not too tight. There aren't many gaps. Also make sure that the little flaps in the front are pulled all the way out. Anybody elses oppion on this problem I would love to hear. We use the parent's choice diapers that are cheaper and don't smell like anything. The smell of pampers really made me sick.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
i learned that if u leave extra diaper like putting the diaper as low as you can below the belly and leave extra diaper so it can handle more pee works.instead of putting the diaper so tight and above the belly.u have to leve it like a catipillar on his bottom that seeems like he gots a big diaper u know what i mean. dont put it to tight and above the bellyChanging baby%26039;s diaper?
what brand dippers are you using because it that might be the cause of it. I had some dippers that worked for my daughter like pampers but I once had to get the store brand while we where on a road trip and that was the biggest mistake I ever made.Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
i change my daughters diaper every 3 hours. never had any problems with leaking. except when i tried different diapers. so maybe try some different ones. a different brand might work better for him. hope this helpedChanging baby%26039;s diaper?
have you tried pionting his dingy the other way? that was the problem for my friend's little boy. i suggested that to her and he didnt leak as much any more. make sure its pointing down. and if its usually down, try pointing it up (just to see if it will help)Changing baby%26039;s diaper?
You should be changing him every time he pees or messes his diaper, not leaving it on until it's that saturated.

  • How has having a baby changed your partner?

    Hiya.

I am about to get married and will be trying for a baby right away, but i'm not sure how %26quot;baby friendly%26quot; he is.

He is a good man, but he is a little prone to selfishness and laziness.

When his baby niece started screaming he just froze and passed her to me.

I was wondering if women with similar reservations were relieved to find their partner getting really involved.

Or maybe you found that they didn't change at all or maybe got worse?

ThanksHow has having a baby changed your partner?
Sorry to say that they don't change much. If he is selfish and lazy now a baby wont change that. My husband was never much of a baby person when we were dating and sadly he didnt spend much time with our kids when they were babies. That doesn't mean he's a terrible father or that I love him any less. I just had to get a little bossy with him and encourage him to help more. Just try talking to your soon to be husband about your worries and explain that you expect him to help out when you do have children. GOOD LUCK!How has having a baby changed your partner?
He'll probably change when its his own baby.

For the record, I am the type that would freeze and hand the baby over if it started crying! LOL! Not that I don't like babies or anything. But now that I am having my own baby I know it will be different :)How has having a baby changed your partner?
I think if i had a child with my current partner; i'd be extremely scared because it can go one way or the other; it can go smoothly and you can become a lot closer or you just grow apart as the little child takes up all of your time!

Seens your partner is like this it might be hard for him at first and maybe he isnt the kind of guy who can just automatically bond with a child. You may find it a bit difficult if he's selfish and lazy so you may find doing most of the work but if you include him into activites like going to the park for example with the child this a way you can all bond and become A LOT closer.

That is what i'd do anyways :P

WHEN IT IS YOUR BABY IT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM WATCHING SOMEONE ELSESHow has having a baby changed your partner?
    I would definitely recommend being married for couple years before you try for a baby. You'll have enough changes to deal with, even if you've lived together previously, and trying to conceive and having an infant will add to the stress. The first couple years of marriage are hard enough, even in the best relationships. Also, it sounds like you've made the decision that you'll be trying right away, but you don't mention that he's on board with it. You should both want to start a family if you are going to try to deliberately get pregnant. This is something you need to discuss with him before you say %26quot;I do.%26quot;

I wanted to start trying a year or two into our marriage, but we just weren't ready, so we waited. When we both felt that we were ready for and wanted a baby, we started trying and got pregnant right away. I'm so glad that we waited because since my husband felt that he was equally involved in our decision to start a family, he has been very involved. He comes to every prenatal appointment and always had good questions to ask the doctor, he calls all the time to check on %26quot;us,%26quot; he started doing all the cleaning and laundry because I felt really sick the first couple months, he researched the safety features of a dozen cars to make sure he was buying the safest car for me and the baby, and he's all-around supportive. This is the same man who had to be taught how to load a dishwasher at 22. It has changed him for the better, but if I had gone ahead and tricked or coerced him into getting me pregnant I know he would have resented it.

Remember, your child will live with you for 18 years, but your spouse should be with you forever. Nurture the relationship you have with them first and you will be better prepared to be the bast parents you can be.How has having a baby changed your partner?
hey, i dont have that knowledge to pass on but one thing i am aware of is that if you do have a child together, make sure you push him to be involved from the very start with all aspects of parent hood, good times and bad. diapers, tears, screaming feeding, all of it. why should the responsibility be all of your bc hes just not that into it? no, thats not fair to you. ive seen so many women almost trap themselves into doing everything. my friend thought her partner wasnt that into being involved so the second the baby was crying it was on her, baby was hungry on her, he helped with nothing bc she took on that role from the start. she basically showed him his behavior was ok, bc she would handle everything. just have a talk stating exactly how you feel, that you expect a father to be included on all duties. ive also seen the most selfish, ego driven men become mush balls once they have a child of their own. the best way to know his feelings on these things is to ask right out. and be sure to let him know what you expect from the start. good luck with your marriage and future plansHow has having a baby changed your partner?
My fiance loves kids and is very good with them but my pregnancy has changed him alot! He used to be with me 24/7 and now he kind of avoids me cuz he says i need to rest - which i feel like he takes it as if im made of cotton wool or im disabled :@ I think we will grow much closer once the baby comes because now he is trying to have some fun before he settles down and raises another human being with me. I would recommend waiting a little while, jsut because he acts funny with other babies dont mean he will be like that with his own! There is no right or wrong answer to this only you know your partner and his personality - babies are very demanding, build your life on concrete not sand! good luck!

It depends which state you live in and the applicable laws there, but the simplest thing to do is contact Social Security Administration so that your baby's tax ID matches the name you would like. How do i change my baby%26039;s last name if it doesnt match his dads?
You can change your babies last name to anything you want to change it to. You just need to have both parents permission to do so. Plus, your husband changing his name would be even easier since he is an adult. He just needs to fill out a form at the court house and pay the filing fee.

Ok I had my baby on Dec. 21, I gave him a name, but then I didn't like the name nomore cause nobody can pronounce it right. I recieved his SS card already but I want to change it. How can I change it, or can I still change it? Please help me!!!!How do I change my baby%26039;s name?
Can the change of name be recorded at any time?

Only new names given to the baby within 12 months of the birth registration can be recorded. If you want to have the new names added to the birth register after 12 months it should be possible to do so as long as you can show that the new names have been used within the 12 months.

What sort of changes can be recorded?

The forename(s) in the birth entry can be changed completely, extra names can be added, or existing ones changed.

There is no provision in this to record a change to the surname.

Who can change your baby's name on the birth certificate?

After the birth has been registered the law allows a mother, father or person with parental responsibility for the child, to change the name either

    1. by calling the baby by the new name

or 2. by having the baby baptised in new names

How do I apply to change the baby's name?

There is a form which needs to be filed in. This form is available from Register Offices, the details of which are set out in this leaflet.

If the baby was not baptised you need a Certificate of name given NOT in Baptism. (It is also known as a certificate of Naming).

What happens if the baby has been Baptised?

If the baby was baptised you need a Certificate of name given in Baptism completed by the Minister who has the register of baptisms.

If the baby has been baptised since the birth was registered, no change can be made to the birth register by substituting the baptismal name with another not given in baptism.

Some information you should know before filling in the form

The form needs to be filled in carefully. If you are adding a name to the one already on the birth certificate, you should show ALL the forenames you want the child to be known by in the space for the new name.

Where do I take the form?

Once the form is completed, it can be handed in at the Register Office where the baby's birth was registered.

If you do not live in the area where your baby was registered, the form can be sent by post.

When will I be able to have a new Certificate?

Once the new name has been included in the birth entry, a certificate can be bought from the Registrar. The current fee is available from the Registrar.

How will the new Certificate look?

A short certificate, which contains the child's name and surname, sex, date and place of birth, will show only the new name.

A full certificate will show all details of your baby's birth, including the original name, but at the bottom of the certificate, the new name will be shown.

Once the new name has been inserted the name at the bottom of the certificate is treated as the correct full name of the child.

Do you need any more advice before you change your baby's name?

This leaflet is for guidance only and is not a complete statement of the law. If you need further advice please telephone your local Registrar, the details of which are set out in this leaflet.

Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages

Please remember that the change of name should be made for the benefit of the child by someone who has parental responsibility for the child. You should take notice of any Court orders which exist about the naming of your child. It may be possible to change your child's name again in future, but not to record that change on the birth certificate.

If English is not the first language of the person changing the baby's name, a relative or friend may accompany the parent to the Register Office.

Look on the back of his birth certificate. Usually you can change the child's name free of charge (or for a small fee) within the first year. Then take the new birth certificate and letter of name change to your local social security office. It shouldn't cost you anything for a new social security card. I know it doesn't cost anything when you process a name change with SS when you get married. How do I change my baby%26039;s name?
The name is legal. The social security administration has no control over vital records, state governments do.

8 year old dog snaps and baby! How to change this?

I have had Puppy my 8 year old lab mix since he was 10 weeks old. He has never really liked children. In the pass when they jump and climb on him he would just get up and move away. Now he snapes or %26quot;worning snaps%26quot; not trying to get them just a %26quot;hey back off%26quot;. I now have an 8 month old son who is going on his own and thinks puppy is so cool. My son is to young to understand but what can I do with puppy?8 year old dog snaps and baby! How to change this?
sell it,you don't need something that will harm your kid in your house.8 year old dog snaps and baby! How to change this?
Puppy and the baby both can use some training classes.......I'm sure at those ages both of them understand the word %26quot;NO%26quot;........especially the dog. Children even at a very young age should be taught to be gentle with animals of all kinds. It's not a difficult thing to do.8 year old dog snaps and baby! How to change this?
This dog is now 8 years old and his unacceptable behaviour is set. This dog needed to be trained, socialized and disciplined 8 years ago. The only thing you can do now to keep your son safe is keep this dog totally away from him because you aren't going to be able to change the dog.

If you now want to try to train this dog, hire a professional - you can't do it on your own.8 year old dog snaps and baby! How to change this?
Make a big fuss of your dog when the baby is around and give him treats however never leave it alone with the baby. Do not let the baby poke the dog or pull it's ears or the dog will be frightened. If the baby does not do this and your dog still gives %26quot;warning snaps%26quot;, use a plastic bottle with a trigger and squirt the dog in the face . This is a harsh treatment and I would only use this in extreme cases.8 year old dog snaps and baby! How to change this?
your puppy has never been trained to be around children, didn't like them but got pregnant anyway. you will have to train baby to leave puppy alone and train puppy to leave baby alone. or you will have to get rid of one of them.8 year old dog snaps and baby! How to change this?
My advice to you: Stay with the dog all the time. If you can't be with the dog, keep you son away from it. Labs can do just as much damage as other dogs. Not really sure how you'd resolve this problem. Just prevent it.8 year old dog snaps and baby! How to change this?
Your dog has lacked the correct training, the question you have to ask yourself is, how many times have you heard or read of dogs causing serious damage to children in the home. Then look at your son and see if you're prepared to put him at risk.

How do you change your baby's diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?

My 10 month old won't stay still, and she throws in a big tantrum when I try to put her pj's on or change her diaper... She can't stand up on her own (yet), but she'll try to pull herself up with my shirt, or she rolls over... It's exasperating!!! %26gt;:^(How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
Don't listen to Franki. You don't discipline a 10 month old baby for moving! That's ridiculous. Of course a 10 month old baby wants to move, and that's normal, and NOT something that should be punished.

Something you can do is give the baby a toy to play with while changing. You could try singing songs. Try to make changing time a pleasant experience. Always associate positive things with changing, whether it's a cute song or a toy or a backrub or a kiss or a hug, etc. Give rewards for good behavior, but at 10 months, do NOT punish for unwanted behavior. How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
Find something to distract her like a toy or food. It also comes in handy to learn to change a diaper backwards when she's crawling away! How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
a toy or bottle always worked for me. Kids will never stay still, it's just something we all have to deal with. How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
Give her something to hold to occupy her while you change her. Try also to sing to her.How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
YOU know my son is doing the exact same thing he is 8 mos old and because he has figured out the whole crawling thing now if i even try to put him on his back he just flips put and wants to rollover or kick like crazy! So yes i am with you it is frustrating.I usually try to do it while he has a toy or something to do that he likes until I'm done or i tickle him and talk to him make faces and keep him there while amused.Sometimes it works. How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
Do something to get her attention, make her laugh, make funny faces, funny noises, etc. They become fascinated by you and will lay still to see what you are going to do next. How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
Give her a toy my daughter loves anything that plays music. You also might want to try making a game out of it, blowing on her belly a couple times for changing her diaper and peekaboo when getting her dressed. How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
My 8 month old son is the same way!! I learned real quick to give him a toy to occupy him or whistle to him !! It does wonders!! Good Luck! How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
A perfect time to reinforce NO with a smart smack on one chubby butt cheek.. and yes this is the time.. Now when you have her attention... try singing a few nursery rhymes to her.. this will help her know that NO means business and diaper changing means singing time and smiles and laughing and getting cleaned up.. Talking and singing to baby will divert her attention and help you get thru with this faster. When she can walk, let her carry the diaper to the changing area. Maybe try giving her a toy to hold or a musical toy to sing along with. You'll work out your routine now that you have some basic ideas. How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
You spank them on their bare butt (unless it's poopy). My 10 month old does NOT wiggle when changed, even on a couch or the floor. A few times of a good spank on those plump little cheeks taught him just fine. Disciplining is training; training begins the day you bring baby home from the hospital. How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
Just say %26quot;Oh no you don't%26quot; with a big grin on your face, and slap that diaper on as fast as you can. Maybe she just wants a little naked time. Let her go bare for a few minutes and try again. How do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
my eight month old does this too and i just give her the box of wipes or a toy to occupy her i think distraction is the best solution what the heck is wrong with all these ppl wanting to spank their babies for doing something that is natural dont listen to them pleaseHow do you change your baby%26039;s diaper or change their clothes when they start to move around SO MUCH!?
and this is where discipline begins!

it does not matter you will not listen anyway but the only 2 people that realize dicipline starts very early are the only 2 people that are not having this problem. all the people that said you do not discilpline a 10 month old are the very same people that will or do get on here and ask why their child is out of control. so thumbs down all you want. i have 2 teenagers and have never had any problems with my children acting up, throwing tantrums, fighting me for whatever reason and that is exactly what she is doing. there is no reason why a 10 month old cannot lay reasonably still for 5 minutes during a diaper change. as long as you let her control the situation she will control other situations and you will always be at wits end. people pamper kids way to much and need to realize that there is a time and a place for all things.

Warm wet rag, clean all the goo.

    Dry with a dry towel/rag.

Just put Talc in hand and rub everything; especially the Six Shooter, a man has to take care of his Gun, never know when he need it.

he is 6 months old and he doesn't want to sleep at night like he use to

now he sleeps at 5 am and wakes up at 3 or 4 pm...im really tired and i want him to sleep at night so that i can too have a good night sleep.

please help! How do i change my baby%26039;s sleeping pattern?
I know it's hard, but if he's not falling asleep until 5am make him wake up at 9am keep him up as long as you can, then only let him sleep for like 2 hours. Then wake him up and keep him up for as long as you can, then whatever time you want to start putting him to sleep put him down and let him sleep. If he wakes up let him cry it out a little if he's not asleep in 20 minutes, get him up and give him a warm bottle, then lay him down and he should fall asleep with in 20-30 minutes. This is of course if you don't have a problem with letting him cry it out a little. How do i change my baby%26039;s sleeping pattern?

I downloaded the audio tutorial teaching me how to have my toddler and baby sleep well. It worked! My child slept like a log all the way and I don't even need to worry about him anymore!

I really recommend you to get it! It was featured in parenting magazines too!

If its on the birth certificate you cannot change the surname - end of. You can change the first name by deed poll . Why would someone give the wrong names anyway ??How can you change a baby%26039;s name?
wow giving the baby the wrong last name!? thats unfortunate... im sorry i dont know how to help... next time (tell your friend) to be sure to give the right name! try talking to the hospital records office or social security? How can you change a baby%26039;s name?
You can change any name you like by deed poll. If its your child and the father is NOT on the birth certificate you can just go ahead. If his name is on the birth certificate then you may need to check if you need his agreement, but it all boils down to parental rights etc. You can do it all online to. And It costs about æ‹¢40 i think. Google deed poll and i think it will come up, Good luck. How can you change a baby%26039;s name?
It happened to me believe it or not. My mother put something down on my birth certificate and the hospital nurses screwed up my name. So for years, on my birth certificate, I had the wrong name. It wasn't until I went to college that I finally had it changed. I just went down to our DHEC. Changing the surname, you'd have to go through all kinds of legal mumbo jumbo, but that could be done as well. I think they call it petitioning for a name change. How can you change a baby%26039;s name?
First, the baptism/christening has nothing to do with a legal name that the law recognizes. Second, it is pretty simple. If it is something like a spelling error, you can contact the records people at the hospital she delivered at and they should be able to fix it. If it is a totally wrong name ... not sure how that could happen, but.... both the biological father and the biological mother would have to sign off on the new name in front of a notary at the county register of deeds.

If the bio dad is not on the birth certificate, he will need to be tracked down, sign an affidavit declaring paternity, then sign off on the paper.

If the biodad is unknown, the a notice will need to be placed in the court house indicating intent to change names for a certain period of time. This procedure will vary from state to state, county by county. It would be best to contact an attorney inthat case so it is done right. HTH!

How can I change my baby's last name to mine?

I live in florida and have a 5 month old baby and me and his father weren't married when he h\was born. now we're broken up and he still wants to keep the baby's last name as his even though he doesn't come see him or help out financially. I want to change his last name to mine but i looked online and he would have to sign a form approving the change of last name and I know he won't sign. is there any other way I can change his last name? How can I change my baby%26039;s last name to mine?
NO MATTER WHAT!!! YOU SHOULD NOT DELETE THE FATHER'S NAME!!! IT BELONGS TO THE BABY ,NOT TO YOU....IT IS AN IRREVOCABLE PART OF THE BABY'S HERITAGE,HISTORY,AND YOU OR ANY ONE WHO SUGGESTS YOU DEPRIVE THE BABY OF HER FATHER'S NAME,SHOULD PRACTICE BEING AN OSTRICH...SHAME ON ALL OF YOU..How can I change my baby%26039;s last name to mine?
You have to go through an attorney. My sister is going through the exact same thing. Now what will happen is you will have to run an ad in the newspaper for 30 days (here anyway) announcing that you are looking for the dad. He then has so many days to come and disagree with that. If he doesn't then they can change the name of your child. If he does step us, you won't have the option to do that. He would have to sign a paper giving up his parental rights.

If you truly want your child's name changed, do it now while he is young. My God-son is 7 years old, hasn't seen his dad in 4 years and cries alot b/c he wants to have the same name as my sister...it's sad.How can I change my baby%26039;s last name to mine?

First off regardless of if he see's the baby or not it is his and you decided 5 months ago to give him the last name so stop being childish and wanting to change it. Secondly yes he has to approve you change it or you have to appear in court and give %26quot;just cause%26quot; as to why it should be changed. Leave the childs name what it is. If you didnt want the baby to have his last name you should have given him your last name when he was born instead of playing this gameHow can I change my baby%26039;s last name to mine?
Children are supposed to carry their father's name. That's why women change their names to the Man's name when they get married!! DUH If you did not want the child to carry the father's name you should not have given it in the first place! And now you don't get any money? Boo freaking Hoo. You should not have had a child until YOU were ready for it - financially, emotionally, and perferably married to the father BEFORE getting knocked up!! You were fine with the name until the money ran out. Get over it. You willinging made the child. You gave birth to the child. You kept the child. Now step up to you responsibilities, be a parent, and quit wanking over a last name.

LET IT BE!!How can I change my baby%26039;s last name to mine?
no there is not. why don't you talk to him about just adding your name on that way he will have both last names. How can I change my baby%26039;s last name to mine?
You need his permission to get it changed....I have the same issues with my kids...I have a 13 year old and my ex husband hasnt seen her in 10 years...but when I went to get her name changed, he refused to leave me do so.....Even if I would have gotten a lawyer it would have cost thousands of dollars, and my daughter would have had to go to court...its hard. How can I change my baby%26039;s last name to mine?
talk to an attorney. Usually what they would do in your case, is to put him on child support. If you don't want support and you just want to get rid of him, then all i can say is try to terminate his rights. An attorney could explain all your options to you better than i ever could. good luckHow can I change my baby%26039;s last name to mine?

How much time does it take to change my baby's last name?

This is a long complicated story but I really need a good answer.

I have a kid who carries my last name, I am in the process of changing my first and last name (citizenship). Now, my baby's father is not involved in the picture at all but is forced to pay child support. I know I have to go through court and all to file a petition to change her last name but what I want to know is how much trouble will it be really and how much time will it take? Another important fact to this is that I am planning on getting married soon and his last name is the same as I picked so will there be any legal problems or will there be any research as to why I am changing my baby's last name? They will see that I am changing our last names to his without being married so my fear is that they will think that we took a short cut out of him adopting my baby. I just don't want her having a different last name from any other kids we may have in the future but I think the real father should provide financialyHow much time does it take to change my baby%26039;s last name?

How much time does it take to change my baby%26039;s last name?
Well I know in the state of Georgia (as is the case in most states) you will have to inform the bio father (person being forced to pay child support) that you are changing the child's name. Your new husband can't adopt your child unless the bio father signs away his rights to the child, which includes paying child support. If you're new husband adopts the child he will be responsible for providing for the child financially and the bio dad will be out of the child's life because he is signing away his rights to be that child's father. Unless you want your new husband to take that responsibilty you should probably stick to going through the court to petition the name change which usually takes a month or so because you will have to advertise the name change. I do believe they will ask you the reason for the name change, but I don't think they will research into it, they'll probably make you sign something saying that you are not doing the name change to do anything fraudulent.

How often do you need to change a baby bottle and the teat?

My daughter had 6 bottles in a day as a newborn so I have 6 avent bottles with teats and at the end of the day, I wash and sterilize. Now she has 3-4 a day because she is on solids so we have the same procedure but less bottles. I replace my daughters teats every couple of months unless they start cracking and discolouring and then I will replace them right away but yeah...every couple of months. Its also good to have 1 or 2 spare teats on hand incase one starts leaking or something. Hope this helps. How often do you need to change a baby bottle and the teat?
LOL what is a teat? You mean the nipple of the bottle? And honestly cleanliness is very important. So i would say that you need to be using clean bottles for every feeding.

*There is nothing wrong with being an over protective father. Heck this is my third child i myself have bought about 15 bottles. Why because you never know what may happen. Anyways let your mother in law and wife talk all they will. But i think that is just fine in my opinion. Good luck! How often do you need to change a baby bottle and the teat?
I would think that you wouldn't want to be dealing with sterilizing the bottle and nipples more than once a day, so you would need at the least enough bottles and nipples to get the baby through one day of feeding. Then you need 1 or 2 more to have ready while you are in the process of the sterilization.

How can I change my baby's sleeping pattern?

Can anyone help PLEASE? I have a 16 week old boy (he was weeks prem) he falls asleep at 11pm - gets up at 2am for a feed - sleeps until 5am gets up for a feed, falls asleep at 6am and sleeps until 2pm the next day!!! Can any give me hints on how to shift this back a bit so he is getting his main sleep at a more reasonable hour say 11pm?How can I change my baby%26039;s sleeping pattern?
The only thing you can do it let him adjust naturally, but you can help the transition a little.

At night when he wakes, keep the lights dim, talk very softly, turn off the radio or tv if you have it on.

During the day, don't turn the volume down on the tv or radio, keep the lights on and/or the blinds open in all rooms (even during naps), and talk to him in a normal volume and excited voice.

He will naturally notice the difference between day and night if you make it obvious like that, and he will slowly adjust to it.

Don't try to force him to stay awake if he's sleepy, just let him adjust on his own. If you try to force it, you will both be in for a very stressful time. How can I change my baby%26039;s sleeping pattern?
Hi everyone I go to bed late and i wake up in the during the night and when i do i wake up in the middle. ?

I changed my sons pattern at 6 weeks. If you're up for a couple of days from hell, then this is worth a try. I didn't let him sleep as much during the day. Don't cut out day time naps completely, because he needs those. But don't let him sleep as long. Wake him after an hour and play with him for a while, feed him, keep him entertained, etc. Keep dt naps short and more awake time. He might be crabby and tired for a couple of days, but he'll start sleeping more at night and adjusting to a pattern that fits your lifestyle better. How do I Change a Baby's Last Name Under Certain Circumstances?

My daughter (7 months) dad has put me through a lot of crap. He is basically living off my expenses and tries to keep my daughter a secret to HIS family. When she was born, I gave her father's last name for her last name. Not too long ago, I called the relationship quits. Now he is trying to make my life a living hell and I still have to pay all the expenses (rent, diapers, baby food, food for myself, his and my laundry, etc.) Also, I have found out when applying for my daughter's passport, that he is not a U.S. citizen (he only has his green card). Is there any way I can change my daughter's last name without having his consent in agreement?

How do I Change a Baby%26039;s Last Name Under Certain Circumstances?
No....Just because all of this is going on with you does not mean you have to change her last name.

That is what your daughter is -whatever his last name is--

This is how people end up with people kin to them and so on by them having their mothers maiden name and not knowing who they are kin too because of it.

Just get a restraining order against him. You will have to go to court over last names and he would have to sign his rights over which he proably would not and why is he not paying child support? How do I Change a Baby%26039;s Last Name Under Certain Circumstances?
What is the point of changing your daughters name at this point? If he is her father it makes sense for her to have his name. If you really want her to have your name you should contact your local social security office and find out what the requirements are for a name change and what you need to do in going about it. It's my understanding that it only requires one parent but I may be wrong. How do I Change a Baby%26039;s Last Name Under Certain Circumstances?
If you change your daughter's last name you will not be able to collect child support unless you provide DNA proof that he is the father. That is something YOU will have to pay for yourself and insurances don't cover DNA testing to prove paternity. If you have called it quits then he should not be living with you at all. You should not be doing his laundry...bag it up and toss it out, tell him to leave and to leave the housekey with you. Since you're not married that shouldn't be too much of a problem But just to enforce child support I'd keep the child's last name as it is. It will save you a lot in court costs. How do I Change a Baby%26039;s Last Name Under Certain Circumstances?
Nope, the father needs to agree to a name change as i assume he is on the birth certificate. How do I Change a Baby%26039;s Last Name Under Certain Circumstances?

Call the hospital where the child was born, ask for Medical Records. They are the ones that took the information to begin with, and filed for the birth of the baby.

Are you applying for food stamps, medicaid, and housing assistance for the baby, I certainly hope so. You deserve it, but please, let this be the last child you deliver until you get back on your feet financially and can supply their needs.

How do you carefully change a baby boy's diaper?

Are there any ways to help prevent being sprayed? Any tricks of the trade that might help? How do you carefully change a baby boy%26039;s diaper?
Put the fresh diaper under the dirty one, open ready to put on him. Undo the dirty diaper and place a wipe over his penis. If it is a poopy diaper, well do the normal cleaning job...then quickly roll and remove the dirty diaper, and fasten up the new diaper.

After a few tries you'll get the hang of it without problems. However, no matter how careful you are...once they start moving around more sometimes you can't avoid it! lolHow do you carefully change a baby boy%26039;s diaper?
Be fast, keep the penis pointed down (you want to do this anyways or he will pee up and over the top of the diaper wetting his clothes) and if he regularly sprays you then put a wipe over him while you are changing him.

No need to waste money on those cones they make to put over them.

Good luck! How do you carefully change a baby boy%26039;s diaper?
They have these little cup things for the penis.

They are like little cones made of fabric. They are called something like.. TeePee Pees, PeePee Tees... something like that!

You just stick it on the penis while your changing the diaper, if he urinates, the material cone collects all the pee and you just throw it in the wash to reuse later!

Otherwise, you could just try being really fast or throwing a wash cloth over the penis. How do you carefully change a baby boy%26039;s diaper?
My son is 8 months old and I have never been sprayed, he won't urinate unless he is covered!

Each boy is different, not all of them urinate as soon as they are uncovered. If you're really worried, just place a washcloth over it- peepee tee pees don't stay on once the child get's wriggly! How do you carefully change a baby boy%26039;s diaper?
For some reason my son stopped peeing after his nappy was removed after about six weeks, it's almost like he knows (I know that sounds crazy!), we still take precautions though, quick off with the dirty one %26amp; quickly tuck the new one in place, if there's a spray in between throw a cloth nappy or a wipe over. It's not so bad really, I noticed when I first had him that you can buy cups %26amp; things but I'm glad I didn't now as that would have been fiddly I think (IMO). Our son's almost 7months now %26amp; doesn't pee on us but ALWAYS does as soon as we put him into the bath! How do you carefully change a baby boy%26039;s diaper?

I got my daughter's ears pirced 5 weeks ago. I was wondering when it is okay to change them. I got her new gold earrings, not the gold plated stuff they pirced them with. One person told me to wait til 8 weeks had passed, and do it really quick, otherwise they would close up. I don't believe there's a way to do it %26quot;really quick%26quot;, unless they were my own ears. Can anyone give me any advice on this.

P.S. Please no ridicules if you think piercing an 8 month old's ears is horrendous. I thought about it for months and months and finally decided to do it. She is fine, they didn't bother her, and everything is cool, so i'd rather not hear anything about me being a child abuser, okay? How do i change a baby%26039;s pierced ears?
I would wait the six weeks suggested, then change them out while she's sleeping. I had my daughters piereced when she was 2 and I actually waited about 8 or 9 weeks to change them and the holes were kind of gunked up with junk I had a hard time cleaning out. It's fine now, but I think I should have changed them at 6 weeks like suggested. Good Luck :)How do i change a baby%26039;s pierced ears?
I personally would wait a little longer before changing them. I would do it while she is asleep if you think you can, that way she is not squirming around on you and hopefully you can do it quickly. How do i change a baby%26039;s pierced ears?
I did my daughter's when she was 6 months... my pediatrician did it, and she only cried when they were using the sharpie to mark her lobes!! Once she chilled out, they pierced them and my daughter only gave the Dr. a dirty look!!

Anyway, I did wait until the full 8 weeks. the plating on those piercer ones are good enough to wait a few more weeks... actually I've used her piercers before, last year I wore them for months - bathing, swimming, sleeping... and I had no problems with them... so they should be fine. How do i change a baby%26039;s pierced ears?
Child abuser?? I wander what they'd call me since I had my daughter's ears pierced at 2 months old. They are perfectly fine, she hardly cried and was too small to mess with them. I think they're pretty.

I think you should treat her ears just like you would treat your own if you were to have them pierced. Wait until the advised 6 week period that most piercers suggest, then pop them out when she's not paying too much attention. I took them out when she was laying on her changing table after the bath and put in new ones while she had a bottle. She never noticed.

Good luck from one child abuser to another! ;)How do i change a baby%26039;s pierced ears?
They wont close up...unless you have them out for a long amount of time...I got my first daughters done when she was 4 months old and my second daughter when she was 10 mo. old.....my youngest had her one out for a couple of days and it never closed up, It happened with 2 months after they were pierced...Theres not really a quick way to do it.. just be gentle. and just in case shes tries to move, have another person to help....Best of luckHow do i change a baby%26039;s pierced ears?
I seem to recall that the minimum is 6 weeks for the initial healing process. I would wait at least until then. Please make sure that any earring you put on your baby has the screw-on type backs or the kind that are very hard to pull off so she doesn't swallow them. How do i change a baby%26039;s pierced ears?
As long as you have regularly twisted the earrings and kept the piercing clean as the person whom pierced them should have told you, it should be OK to change them.

Normally, you can change earrings after 2 to 3 weeks; 5 weeks is definitely long enough.

Obviously, you can't change them in seconds, just I wouldn't keep earrings out of the holes for more than a few hours.

Just please, please please, do not put dangling or hoop earrings on your baby. She could tug and pull and possibly rip her earlobes, keep to simple stud earrings until she's old enough to understand; possibly until she's 5 yrs or older.

    Good luck!

I know this sounds stupid, but I've started babysitting a 1 year old, and I was wondering how you know when he needs his diaper changed. How do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?

Well, generally you should change a 1 year old about every 3 hours or so or if you notice that he is poopy or his diaper is sagging because of a lot of pee.How do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?
Usually every 2 or 3 hours. Just look at the diaper, it fills with pee and you can see that it is bulky. Poop needs to be changed as soon as he pushes it out.How do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?

in the day care that i use to work at we would change the diapers every 2 hours unless they made a bad diaper. but be sure to ask the parents about how often and if they use any baby powder or any other type of baby rash cream (some children are more prone to rashes) but over all the 2 hour rule is a good rule of thumbHow do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?
I'm a mother of 2, what I do is feel the diaper, and if it's wet than all doubts change it, it will feel squishy, and if its dry it will not feel squishy at all. But get in the front center of the diaper to make sure. That's what I do. If you can find a dry diaper in the house you are baby sitting that is how it will feel on the toddler. How do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?
well if the diaper smells like poop obviously. also to find out about the pee you can put a tissue in the diaper and just peep in and if the tissue is wet...ITS TIME TO CHANGE :)How do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?
When a baby wakes up from a nap, every hour he is awake (if wet), and right before a nap.

You aren't paying for the diapers and no parent is going to yell at you for keeping the baby properly dry. I would rather my babysitter waste diapers than let my daughter sit in pee and get a rash. How do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?
If my son has pooped then as soon as I smell/notice it he gets changed. With the pee, then if the nappy is squishy change it. If is still feels cotton wool like then it isn't wet enough and will be wasted. How do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?
well this is actualy a good question

    For boys

pp- this can wait for a little while boys are less likely to get an infection from less changing no more than 2 hours or until the diaper is saggy you will know how often just by looking at his diaper it should never hang down

poop- change asap this is nasty and you dont wanna smell it for long the baby will not like sittin around in a dirty diaper so if you dont smell it he will cry to let you know at least most babies do poopy diapers are gross change the poor baby

    For baby girls

pp- this can wait again no more than 2 hours at this age you may want to keep an eye though bc little girls can get yeist infections so pay attention

poop- needs to be taken care of immediately girls are more likely to get urinary tract infections or yeist infections at this age from a nasty diaper e coli from poop is the main cause of urinary tract infctions in little girls thats why girls are told to wipe front to backHow do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?
Well if it is dirty you will usually smell it or you can tell when they are going if they strain. Then you change it right away. Otherwise, a good rule of thumb is to at least change it every 2 hours. How do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?
You need to change a 1 year old after each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and then in between if they do a poo or you press the outside of the nappy (front for boys, under for girls) and it feels firm, then it's full of wee and you should change. How do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?
    Smell! hehe

You can look and see if there is pee; the diaper just looks %26quot;fuller%26quot;. If in doubt, squish it. You can tell a wet one from a dry one this way easily. Poop, if you are wondering but can't smell, take a peep by peeping down the back or through the leg band. How do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?
When I worked at a daycare,we checked %26amp; changed if needed every 2 hours.Unless the pooped, then we changed it right then.Just check it every 2 hours or so for pee.You will know if he poops. How do you know when to change a baby%26039;s diaper?
General rule of thumb: change a baby's diaper every two hours. Most likely, he'll be wet. If you smell something funky, he probably pooped, in which case you'd wanna change that right away.

How do you change a baby girl's diaper?

OK, I'm not an idiot but I have a son and I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant with a boy. I know sometimes when I change him - this might be gross - but it gets messy and sometimes his poop is everywhere. I'm just nervous with a girl, I feel like they could get an infection I'm going to be so nervous making sure I clean her well. Am I just having normal pregnancy jitters??How do you change a baby girl%26039;s diaper?
You wrote Im currently 20 weeks pregnant with a boy. See what pregnancy does to your mind and body, Lol I felt the same way when my daughter arrived after 5 boys. Just make sure u wipe from front to back and keep her clean so she wont get an infection. Sometimes the inner lips can get dirty from a bowel movement so always check and wipe slowly. Congrats on you soon to be daughter. Girls are so much fun.How do you change a baby girl%26039;s diaper?
Wipe front to back. Like you do for yourself :-) Don't worry, you'll be fine. How do you change a baby girl%26039;s diaper?
when changing a girl you make sure you wipe front to back so you wipe towards there bottom not from the bottom upwards

i have 2 girls and i was told this was the way to change themHow do you change a baby girl%26039;s diaper?
Yes you are having normal jitters. I had a boy, girl and then another boy. I had a midwife who advised me and she said it is just like wiping yourself. You were always taught to wipe from the front to the back. That way you can not pass any bacteria into the %26quot;delicate%26quot; parts of your baby girl.

Best of luck with baby 2How do you change a baby girl%26039;s diaper?
You wipe front to back and make sure when she poops you clean out her lady parts really well Also, when she pees with the diaper of it can sneak up on you, and it causes a big old mess. It is not hard at all and once you do it once you will be a pro.How do you change a baby girl%26039;s diaper?
That was the first thing my brother commented on in the hospital after his daughter was born. There are many %26quot;folds%26quot; and all need to be clean. Take your time and you will be a pro before you know it.How do you change a baby girl%26039;s diaper?
only difference is you have more to wipe...

    front to back!

and all babies poop everywhere...sorry! lolHow do you change a baby girl%26039;s diaper?
Always wipe front to back, otherwise you'd get the poop in the vagina and she may get an infection, pay close attention to carefully wiping the folds of the vagina, if poop from the diaper gets there, always wipe away from the vaginal opening. Also make sure the area isn't too wet as girls tend to chafe easier than boys. How do you change a baby girl%26039;s diaper?
If you're pregnant with a boy why does it matter? You wipe a little girl from front to back just like you would wipe yourself

Just beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don't even know how to change a diaper!?

I think that panic stage just set it!! I'm due in 8 weeks and I don't know how to change a diaper, feed a baby, change a baby, or even hold one!!!

    Any advice?

I've been reading books all along [ie What to expect the first year] but I'm still clueless!! I've NEVER been alone with a baby!!! Neither has my bf!!!Just beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don%26039;t even know how to change a diaper!?
Don't worry so much. Most of it will come to you naturally. That is why God made women to have children. We have better instincts than men. Also at the hospital they will give you a crash course in caring for your newborn. Try to relax, you will be fine. Plus, I will be here for at least 13 more weeks to answer any questions. Congratulations and best wishes!Just beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don%26039;t even know how to change a diaper!?
Your motherly instincts will come out when the baby arrives.

Maybe take a baby class with your boyfriend......that would help alot.

Good luck with everything!!!Just beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don%26039;t even know how to change a diaper!?
I've heard that there are a lot of things that do come naturally when you have a baby. Also, there are other things you won't know how to do --but there are lots and lots of other people who do! We're all here to help you with questions. You will learn how to do these things. And then you can soothe the next girl you meet who's feeling panicy behind you. . .Just beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don%26039;t even know how to change a diaper!?
they will show you at the hospital if you dont know how- if it is a girl then you should always wipe front o backJust beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don%26039;t even know how to change a diaper!?
Hun , don't worry , your motherly instincts should kick in ,

but what you should try is some birthing and parenting classes. Most of the hospitals have programs and they are cheap.

Newborns need a diaper change alot , just make sure they get a fresh one, and to clean very well. bottle feeding is simple, 1 scope of formula for every 2 oz of water.Burp them after each oz of formula. or breastfeeding 20 Min's on each breast. make sure they are warm, babies use up alot of energy to stay warm. Swaddling is a life saver ..and hold the baby in the corner of your arm supporting the head.

It will all come naturally once that baby is in your arms.

I wish you all the luck. I hope this helpsJust beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don%26039;t even know how to change a diaper!?
its funny but when the baby does get here you will figure it out, i knew how to change diapers before i had my baby but like two weeks before she was born i freaked about EVERYTHING. just stay calm and dont worry about what you do and don't know about. just know that you have people to help you.Just beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don%26039;t even know how to change a diaper!?

don't be worrying it will all come naturally to you and before you know it you'll be a professional, good luckJust beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don%26039;t even know how to change a diaper!?
dont worry, it will come. open the diaper, put it on (half with the velcro goes under the bum), open the velcro tabs and attatch to front of diaper. use a bit of penatin in the creases of you baby's legs and on bum to prevent diaper rash.Just beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don%26039;t even know how to change a diaper!?
That which doesn't come naturally, you'll learn as you go along. I panicked too, although I practically raised my niece and knew how to change a diaper, I was worried about other things... don't worry, after the first few tries, you'll be a pro. You don't have to be perfect to be a good mother.

You can take a pre natal class, where they'll teach you everything or wait until the baby's born. The nurses at the hospital usually show you the basics.

Do get a lactation consultant if you plan on breastfeeding though, as the nurses usually don't have a clue (or time to teach you properly) and breastfeeding doesn't always come naturally.

Remember, it's hard to break a baby.... and when you panic and don't know how to do something, take a deep breath, do the best you can and ask for advice!

Congratulations and good luck!Just beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don%26039;t even know how to change a diaper!?
Honey dont worry!! Lots of moms feel that way and have never been alone with a baby. Its so natural. Trust me, once you have the baby you will be amazed at your instincts in caring for it. The best thing you can do is to talk calming breaths when you are getting overwhelmed and realize that you are going to do just fine.

Lots of hosptials have classes that you can take for new born care before you give birth. They can help you alot. Dont worry though, you will learn all this. We all learn somehow.Just beginning to realize... my baby is due in 8 weeks and I don%26039;t even know how to change a diaper!?
You should ask your midwife to show you. I got the midwives in the hospital to change my baby girls first nappy as that is the hardest one to do as you will need to clean up the %26quot;Meconium%26quot; poo which is black and very sticky! Its really easy to change a nappy, in a girl, make sure you wipe front to back (wee to poo) as she may get an infection in her vagina. With a boy you dont need to be as careful but make sure when you take off a boys nappy they dont pee everywhere. Also you will need to make sure his penis is facing downwards when putting his nappy back on otherwise the nappy will leak. Top tip, make sure that their bottoms are dry afterwards or they will develop nappy rash. Its a good idea to give babies %26quot;free bum time%26quot; with their nappies off for half hour or so a day (bums on a towel incase of accidents) to give them a bit of airing! For the first few weeks they reccommend you use cool boiled water and cotton wool balls on their bits and then you can resort to using the baby wipes. Good luck its all so much fun x
