My daughter was born with thick dark hair and stunning blue eyes. She is such a cutie! She still remains the same now at 3 months. I was born dark hair blues just like her but went blonde shortly after. My husband was born blonde hair brown eyes but his hair darkened up shortly after.



Everyone in my family has brown hair besides me and hazel eyes. Everyone in my husbands family has dark hair and blue eyes, he is the only one with brown eyes besides his late father.

my eyes are grey/green/blue, my first husband had ice-blue eyes. our daughter was born with slate-grey eyes that turned black-brown by the time she was a year old. when she was about 21, they changed again and now one eye is dark green with a black ring around the iris and the other has a golden-green ring around the pupil with a brown ring around the outside (it's called %26quot;sectoral heterochromia%26quot; and is hereditary on my side).



my second husband had bottle-green eyes. our daughter was born with black eyes that lightened to an intense blue. they continued to lighten and change until by the time she was a year old, she had dark hazel eyes. when she hit puberty, they lightened to the clear green they are now.



my youngest daughter's father is a hindu from trinidad. her eyes were blue when she was born but are now a rich milk chocolate brown and probably will stay that way, although i suspect they may lighten a bit more to perhaps a dark amber.



the oldest and youngest were born with blue-black hair. the oldest ended up with russet brown hair, the youngest is nearly 3 and her hair is dark (dark!) brown with a lot of red and a bit of blonde highlighting.

Her eyes will probably darken as she gets older -- the brown eye gene is dominant over the blue eye gene. My friend has brown eyes, her ex partner has blue eyes and now at 7 months their daughter's eyes are turning brown.



As for the hair -- it depends which gene is dominant. I was blonde at birth, and at 20 i'm still blonde. My ex was blonde when he was younger but by the time he was 6 it was brown. My son was born with dark black hair and dark blue eyes. I have blue eyes so it wasn't out of the question. Most babies are born with blue eyes. She hasn't developed her true eye color yet. My daughter was born with black hair and her eyes looked purple. She now has brown hair and brown eyes.
