Changing baby onto new formula milk as she has reflux - how long before i know if it is agreeing with her?

my daughter is 3 months old and i have had to change her over from SMA Gold to Enfamil AR as she spits up a lot. I hate changing her milk and feel guilty at doing so. Last night she wasn't herself and i'm wondering how long I should wait before making a decision to keep her on it or put her back on SMA Gold. Many thanks.Changing baby onto new formula milk as she has reflux - how long before i know if it is agreeing with her?
Who advised you on changing the milk? i had to change for my daughter when she was 5-6 weeks but this was only because she couldnt pass stools. even changing to SMA GOLD, she couldnt pass stools for 4 days and now she is fine. has your little girl been sick each time she has her milk or sometimes? this is also a sign of she has wind, not necessarily anything else.Changing baby onto new formula milk as she has reflux - how long before i know if it is agreeing with her?
Give it a week. Sometimes it takes time for baby's body to adjust to the new milk. Make sure you make the switch gradually. Start with 1/2 an oz of the Enfamil and the rest the SMA gold and increase 1/2 oz every day until she is up to what she normally eats. You'll know if the Enfamil isn't sitting well with her if she can't poop or it gets hard to poop, spits up more, refuses the bottle, etc. Also, is she spitting up because she's eating too much? Frequently, that's a problem.Changing baby onto new formula milk as she has reflux - how long before i know if it is agreeing with her?
hunny i had sooo much trouble with my second child ( a prem that was lactose intolerant) she could be spitting it up cause she might need a thicker formula i know that karicare has a thickened formula but what i did with my little one was lactogen and a teaspoon or so of farax (baby rice) and pentavite vitamins she went well after we got her on this hope this helps good luckChanging baby onto new formula milk as she has reflux - how long before i know if it is agreeing with her?
A couple of days and you should know. If that doesn't agree with her try Similac Sensitive R.S. with a little bit of cereal in it to thicken it up. That's what we did with my son and it worked wonderfully.
