Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?

Me and my husband were waiting at the Walmart customer service today and the line was day after xmas worthy. It was about 25 people long. The lady in front of us had a 3 yr. old who kept talking with my 18 month old and saying %26quot;I pooped my pants%26quot; and he would laugh and then my son would laugh, I kept ignoring it, and we were about 5 people to the register, and she laid him in the big part of the basket and changed him right there, and it really was awful. She said she wasn't about to get to the back of the line and kept apologizing, but it was awful. The smell, the whole situation was just awful. This sounds like a complete joke but I am very serious, and everybody in the line was looking and whispering, but nobody said anything? I've seen people change babies in their cars, but this is the first time I had ever seen one changed in a cart in line, and he was 3. I just wonder how would you have reacted in this situationWould you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
I guess I would have been glad it wasn't me. It sucks having to make choices like that. Maybe she was on her way to something important and couldn't take the time to get out of line and then re-stand in a long line, who knows. But I know it stinks to have people judge you when you're only trying your hardest. Live and let live.Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
Never. Absolutely never. Besides, the restrooms are right beside customer service. She should have asked you to save her place. That is gross.Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
No, I wouldn't do that. I am not surprised that you experienced that, though. I would have just ignored the situation. People do crazy things now a days!Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
If he wasn't totally freaking out I would not have changed him right there - I would have waited until we got through the line. If he was completely upset about the soiled diaper I probably would have just left. So either way, no, I would not have done this. Somebody behind her could have offered to hold her place in line while she went to the bathroom and changed him, did they?Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
As soon as I saw her begin I would have said, %26quot;Ma'am, I'll be glad to save your place in line if you'd like to use the restroom. Don't worry, if we get to the front before you return, I'll wait here and let one person at a time go ahead of you until you return%26quot;.Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
Talk about taking her half of the road out of the middle. That's the most self centered thing I ever heard of.

They don't have a People of Walmart site for no reason. Maybe you should've snapped a picture and sent it in.

Doesn't mean everyone who shops there is a stank, but the place draws them in for some reason.Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
That's disgusting. I understand she may not have wanted to get to the back of the line but come on....they have bathrooms for things like that.

I'm not the type to comment on anything so I probably just would have sat there in line and kept my mouth shut. Now if my 3 yr old was with me, LOL, he probably would have made a point to say how bad it stinks, how come he pooped in his pants, etc, etc.

That was inappapropriate adn I'm actually surprised that the staff didn't speak up to her instead.Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
I would never do that, and hopefully I won't have a 3 year old that isn't potty trained, seems like some major laziness to me. I have changed diapers in the car laying on the back seat though, that is a little more secluded than a public place in a shopping cart that I put my GROCERYS in, like ewwww!! I would have whispered too :( what could you actually say to her face?Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
Haha! Yeah, that is pretty nasty. I mean, I would have either gotten out of line, and sucked it up. Or maybe, just maybe, hoped the lined moved within the next couple of minutes. But NO WAY would i have exposed my 3 year old's naked little bum and changed his diaper in line, exposing the rest of the customers to a stinky poop! LOL Pretty gross ! If I was you, I would have totally been laughing, nudging my husband and making comments loud enough to embarrass the silly mother who thought that was a good idea. Anyhow, thanks for sharing the funny story :)

And i wanted to add to the rude poster above, not every child is potty trained by 3 years old. That is in NO way lazy parenting if thats what you were implying. Maybe you should think before you type. Apparently you have diarrhea of the fingers.Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
No... WOULD NEVER!!! and im the kind of persons that says never say never but in this case NEVER... That is dirty... Forget the smell the baby is going to think that is normal... I would have waited... Its not like he didnt have a pamper!!Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
For some reason, it doesn't surprise me that this happened in Walmart!!Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
No I wouldn't. People put their groceries in those carts. Disgusting.Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
That's nasty! She should have just told her three year old to wait it out. A few minutes won't hurt him.Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
Grossness..poop,3 year old..wateva..its part of life, there are worse things to encounter believe me..

But there were only 3 pipo in front of her..im sure she could hav w8d..but what does it matter..really..Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
Long before it ever came to that I would have offered to save her place in line so she could go change her son. But yes, that is horrific behavior she displayed, and just plain GROSS! Changing a poopy diaper and not washing your hands? Eeeeeew!Would you change your 3 yr. olds messy pull up in the shopping cart in order to keep your place in line?
that is pretty nasty of her doing that. but i would ask somebody to save the spot for me or something if nobody want to help me out i would just tell my kid to wait until we get out. simple, just like that.
