Any suggestions on how to build a folding baby changing platform out of wood?

These are wonderful devices that are tremendously handy.

Try this: go to a local store that has one. Take the measurements and maybe a few shots with a digital camera.

Using the measurements, and the pictures, you should be able to build a simple diaper change table.

Good luck.Any suggestions on how to build a folding baby changing platform out of wood?

I can't tell you how to make it but I did see this done on either DIY network or HGTV a few weeks back. The homeowner had a really small bedroom that they were using for a nursery. They cut a hole in the drywall and made a changing table (just like one you'd use in a public restroom) that folded up into the wall. They said it was pretty simple to construct. First they purchased the changing pad they intended to use and used that for the measurements. Then they made a wood frame to surround the changing pad and had some chain and hinges they attached so the station would stop...but could easily be folded away. You might search the www.diynetwork.com or hgtv.com and search there. If nothing else, maybe someone else saw the same episode and could lead you in the right direction.
